Project I: Accomplished
Tonite I been working on my first project, so I had to take extra time to mount it with the professor specifics. This will be my first project for the final presentation, let me tell you that using the X-acto knife and glue was very difficult, I was following step by step as my professor said, it seemed very easy when he explained in the studio, but well, when you got this awesome printing finally made, oh wow, I didn't know where to start so well I started practicing with scratch paper.
Seems easy but believe me its so difficult...and extremely sharp!
So well, my first thing to do tomorrow is buy a nice aluminum t-rule, because I only had that plastic ruler that I already messed up with the x-acto knife.
Then, I was making the measurements as advised on my professor's website. It was very challenging, but well I think I did it cool.
Finally, I applied a very light smooth coat of super 77 glue, like barely there, then I placed in the crescent black board, yeah I had very hard time because once it makes contact starts to get sticky, so well I started presing from top to bottom with the plastic ruler, and voila!!! no bubbles underneath the paper...it was fantastic to see it mounted, so here are some pics of my journey to the glue land thing!!!
My messy work area...
So well this is messy, sticky and well have lots of things to do tonite to worry about this clutter.
Im also placing all my stuff in the dining table, I think that I might need more space...
Tomorrow is my final presentation for Proyect 1 and well I'm willing to see my other classmates project finished and mounted, so I expect it to be a wonderful day at class!!
So here is the project completly finished and mounted, more than ready for tomorrow @ 8:40 am!!!
I'll post about project 2 next week after gathering all the bits and pieces for it.
Have a great weekend!
