Back 2 to Work
Hello, wish y'all had a great weekend. I was working really hard in my presentation for Surrealism. As you may remember I was working on the thumbnails and rough last week, and finally I'm mounting my project. It has been a tough week working at the call center, and studying late at nights in order to finish my homework and keep up the good grades. Thank God for coffee :)
It's time to cut out the project.
Wish you all having a great weekend. Thank you for visiting my blog.
and getting ready for easter :)
It's time to cut out the project.
Last week I was unable to attend school and work due to loss in the family, my Grandma Rebeca passed away and I had to travel to her funeral. Unfortunately, one month later her sister Ofelia passed away. The most incredible thing is that they were not in contact with each other for years and they didn't notify her sister about her passing. Both sisters are now in heaven :)
She was very special to me because she was my best friend, my confident. She always loved to tell me jokes and she was very happy seeing us growing up and always doing the right things. I will be missing her very much and she will always be in my heart.
From left to right: My Aunt, My Uncle, Grandma and her Sister, my mom (with the hair rollers) and uncle.
I decided to get busy with work in order to ease my pain so I had to start printing my project and then cut it out with the specifications from my professor. Now it is time to work on mounting.
2. Packaging the PDS into IDD is kind of difficult but well, with practice I think I can accomplish it faster next time.
Finally, here is the final design, mounted in black crescent with the measures requested; now with the cover and final tag in the back, I have to write all the project information. Our teacher is very strict about the presentations, and well I like that because it makes us feel that our art work is very important.
I really enjoyed working in the project #2 that I named "Network Outage", my sister looks very cool with the outfit and with the guitar, she looks amazing. Also, I would like to thank for the rest of the "Gadget Models" for this "Human Gadget" project.
So the score that my teacher gave me for my first project #1 "Life Collage" was a 96!!! The feed back for this project #1 from my teacher are:
- Projects are to be protected with a flap.
- Reduction in opacity to blend or intrigate (the white sheets) more smoothly.
- Re-arranging some graphics to lead the viewer back to the center of the design.
- Pushing the graphics further to the edge of the picture plane.
- It was a very well constructed and composed job!!
I'm so happy that my first project critique went well!
Now I have to keep my hands and mind busy in project #3 that is about National Parks cover. Our teacher gave us a surprising assignments this time, so I got "Bryce Canyon" National Park. Now I will have to start "shopping" in the web, and plan my next design, due to that, I wasn't able to show up to photo-shop class last weekend, I will have to make my thumbnails but without score due that those were due for today. Anyways, I'll keep working as scheduled in the syllabus :(. (Laziness doesn't pay!)
I was planning to make 2 different thumbnails, one serious and the other for younger audience, something that is easy for kids to read and understand, so I will have to start things which one to work on, here is some of the the ideas that I have on mind.
Wish you all having a great weekend. Thank you for visiting my blog.
Next blog: Bryce Canyon project :)
