Fiesta 2010!!!
Wishing y'all had a great weekend! Finally Fiesta is here! So we went to celebrate it at Papacito's Cantina. We had lots of fun with the mariachi, queso, chips, salsa, shrimps, seafood, and well the best thing for the night was red sangria...mmm I love it!!! Also, there it started to rain so it was very refreshing. Wow, it has been raining a lot in San Antonio.
Its a tradition on Fiesta the commemorative poster, even the schools close for Fiesta, it is like a big holiday in San Antonio. Hope there could be Fiesta every other month, wow that would be so cool!
Last Saturday it was the critique for my Project # 3. Designing the cover for National Parks magazine was very challenging due that I had to stop being selfish and try to forget about myself and work merely on the subject. So well, here is the mounted project. I have to accept that I made a huge mistake for not doing things on time, and not reading thoroughly the description and requirements for the project. I ended up trimming the border when it was not suppose to trim it at all! Well my bad, this is what happens when you go to Fiesta in a Friday night, drink lots of Sangrias and you pretend to mount and finish a presentation at 4 am! So please learn from my mistakes (and my procrastination habits)! Added to that, I arrived 20 minutes late to the critique, so well I already lost 10 points, so well, next time no matter what, I'll leave fun for later...school is first!!!
The final design...ready for printing!!

After the critique we received our final project #4, and it will be about designing a coffee label for Whole Foods. Our professor gave us the description for the rough, thumbnails and final mounted presentation. So I started right away and I already had a couple of images that I'm going to start working on. I choose Kenyan Coffee, so I'm still undecided which one will be the one that I will finally present. We only presented thumbnails due to the pressure of time, so we will not be able to do color rough critique this time :( (sad face), instead next Saturday we will be working on this project #4 all Saturday (approx. 8 hours). Following Saturday will be printing and mounting for the final critique on Saturday, May 8th, 2010.

So I highly recommend you that invest time and effort in yourself and your future, go to College, I think this is the best decisions that I ever made in my life.
