Finally
the weekend! I been looking forward for Saturday Night, it has been a
tough week with the mid-terms and assignments. I decided to
enjoy this weekend and forget all about school and just enjoy every
day doing things that I love, like drawing, painting, taking photographs
and baking (mostly baking :).
Kitchen
Time
- Monday: I cooked fried rice, it was very good! It seems to be very difficult to do but it was nice and easy! I'll post the recipe so you can try it too.
- Tuesday: I was making flour tortillas, it was very challenging to find the right amount of flour and water to make them easy to make.
- Wednesday & Thursday: Remastering the Ciabatta bread! yeah! I love this simple recipe, and tastes very good with butter and garlic.
- Friday & Saturday: I woke up in the mood to cook breakfast, so I made chorizo and egg, refried beans, pancakes, fluor tortillas, fresh red mexican salsa and Argentinian empanadas.
Fun
Time :)
- I visited Asian Market on Saturday, I was craving for dim cake, one of my favorites; also, I had roasted duck (Very tasty!) and noodles, lots of noodles; tapioca and ham maggie cubes. Every time I come to his store I feel like I'm traveling to Asia in 5 seconds, I enjoy this place very much!
- I been watching Julia Child's cooking videos on youtube.com, I learned a lot about her recipes, tips and she had a great sense of humor, they are a treasure!
- Went to Book Sale @ library on Saturday. I bought some books and some software with tons of clip art for $5.00 , they are for win 95 but I still have an old computer with that program so I can still use them and have some fun doing greeting cards for the holidays. It was very rare to see old LPs from bands like Los Lobos and Jefferson Starship, unfortunately I don't have a turntable to listen those amazing records. It is very good to have this amazing deals on book sale, I bought a Creating Web Pages for Dummies for $2.00, so I'll give it to my son so he can start creating some stuff.
- My plants are growing so fast, I can't wait to see their first strawberry or cherry tomato. My Boston Fern is growing so fast, I mist water on it every night and water the whole thing once a week, usually every Friday night, It's amazing how plants can look so beautiful when you take proper care of them
- Fiesta Week is in San Antonio! wish you all have lots of fun and drive safe (No drinking and driving!)
-
I
feel sad that the old doll house will close its doors due to going
out of business, this place has been in the area for several years,
but well, we will keep it in our memories in Castle Hills, TX
