I had a great time this Summer with my family and friends.  It was very hot this year, but I tried to chillax and have fun.  I decided to try to go to new places at least twice a month, like a new museum, place, restaurant, etc... so I can get to know more Los Angeles, and its surroundings

• Cooking & Baking

Salsa Quemada

• 2 large tomatoes
• 2 chiles anchos
• 12 dry red chiles *dry
• 2 large garlic
• salt (I usually use 1 spoon) 
• cooking oil

Start by grilling with a bit of cooking oil the vegetables first

Grill them by both sides

I always remove the tomatoes skin

Then quickly grill the chiles in the remaining oil, try to do fast so you won't get the burn of the chiles in your place to breath due to the smoke 

Then blend the chiles and garlic first in the blender, when is done, add the rest of the ingredients.  Sometimes I add a bit of water but its better to blend with a molcajete.

My husband got me this chili plant so I don't need to run to the market when I need to cook some huevos rancheros. 

Mexican Fideo

• 1 small packet fideo pasta
• half whole corn can (no liquid)
• 1 maggie tomato and chicken bouillion
• minced garlic (a small bunch)
• 1 peeled garlic
• 2 tomatoes
• cumin
• salt
• cooking vegetable oil
• 1/4 small white onion
• 1 large serrano chili (just for flavor)
• 2 cups of water or chicken caldo

Start by frying the pasta until golden with the cooking oil, on the side blend the tomato, chicken bouillon, add water or chicken caldo, onion, and garlic. When fideo is golden add the vegetable blend, sprinkle cumin over the food, then the corn, and top it with the chili. Set to low flame until all water is gone. Then add the fresh cilantro on the top and blend it a  bit. Turn of flame after all water is gone, and let it seat for 10 minutes.

• 1 lb milanesa, or beef skirt in chunks

Universal Studios Hollywood 

Summer 2019

I try to visit any theme park on Tuesday or Wednesday so I can enjoy the park when is no so crowded so I can take beautiful pictures of areas that is almost impossible to admire.  

Voodoo Donuts has become a very popular spot in the Universal Walk! My favorite is the bacon and maple donut, omg simply delicious, the best of both words :) 

This is a must do area for a nice picture of the Universal Walk, so don't miss it!

The gorilla always looks happy and you can miss it due that is ginormous.

This happy guy is inviting me to go have a tasty lunch at Bubba Gump at the Universal Walk.

I love Ben & Jerry's Ice cream, my favorite Cherry Garcia of course!

Wow seems like LA traffic here

It was a fun, sunny, and hot day! So don't forge the sunscreen and get covered from too much sun.
