Winter 2020
Hello! Long time no see my friends! I took the decision to move back to Texas in February 2020, as things were not going well in Los Angeles due to higher taxes, earthquakes, and all the situation with the pandemic (COVID-19) "Corona-Virus" just started. I was able to land a job before moving back home, but eventually I got a better opportunity as a Counselor for a non-profit agency, where I'm learning a lot and I will be able to do what I like to do the most, which is to help people in need. So far everything is going well after I moved back home.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are experiencing a lot in everyday changes, including going to school, work. Business and schools had to close and we are all quarantined since March 2020. So far, a lot of people had contracted the virus, causing high mortality rate. Our city was able to reopen businesses at 50% capacity last 2 weeks, but a week after, COVID-19 cases climbed again, so we had to close everything again. Wearing face mask, gloves and carrying a hand sanitizer is a must if you need to go out to do essential shopping. I'm using curbside service from HEB grocery store, they charge you $5 for personal shopper but they will fulfill your grocery list (phone app) and they will deliver your items to your car trunk.
I miss Los Angeles, CA a lot, I left family and friends but sometimes you have to move back to where you belong, find yourself, and see how things changes for good when you leave behind situation that are not meant to bring you any good or happiness. I'm letting love finding me this time, and hoping for the best. I'm currently living in my nice, cozy apartment with a cute chimney, and making it feel like home. Working from home has its advantages, as I'm able to cook and bake for my daughter everyday making scrumptious and healthy meals.
Now I have plenty of time to plan for the upcoming holidays, and I had to make myself an IOU for my birthday that was in the middle of the pandemic and I had to stay at home. That will be a surprise party and I'll post it in my blog.
I will be posting more often after this pandemic is over. I continue praying day and night for the patients for their soon recovery and for all the medical, housekeeping team that makes our hospitals continue to help our community.
Wish y'all the love, peace during this quarantine. At this moment people is more under stress, with high levels of anxiety and depression due to this pandemic situation, but we got to love and support each other to keep our family together. God bless y'all!
Queen Magda
